Tidy Up Together Item Categories
Named product families from official copy and launch play, without a fake complete list.
Players search for a Tidy Up Together item list because other tidy games ship a tidy spreadsheet. This one ships a shop. The useful list is a set of families you can recognize on the floor, not a 10,000-row database this wiki will not invent.
Steam currently says 14 categories. Older marketing and the demo page say 12 in the full game. The demo itself exposes three. Until Malum Games publishes a patch note that names every row, treat 14 as the live store-page number and everything below as confirmed families, not a closed set.
Families we can actually name
Potions and glass. The store page leads with potions. They are the readable fantasy stock: bottles, colors, and the kind of crate you expect in an Adventurer shop. If two bottles look identical, turn on Color Alternatives from the controls page before you decide the game is being cruel.
Food, including sushi, pastries, and pineapples. Official copy uses sushi and pineapples on purpose. Launch reviews add pastries. Food is the family that makes the greatsword joke work. Keep food out of the steel wing and your multiplayer arguments get shorter.
Weapons and shields. Greatswords are the mascot. Shields show up in the same reviews. This is the heavy, long, easy-to-spot family. It is also the family people drop in the wrong aisle because a sword is funny on a fruit table. Funny is not tidy. Put it back.
Clothes and shop goods. Character customization is a listed feature, and reviews mention clothes in the sort pile. Treat fabric as its own wing so it does not hide under food crates.
If you find a product that is none of these, it still belongs to a shelf type. Watch the green silhouette instead of forcing it into this list. Then remember the new family for your group. The Items Hub is allowed to grow when public info grows.
How categories interact with shops
The demo uses three categories so you can test pickup and place without learning a whole store. Wyrmling adds enough families to teach the joke. Dragon and Leviathan add volume more than they add a new genre of product. You are not unlocking sci-fi SKUs. You are drowning in more of the same fantasy stock.
That is why a category specialist works in co-op. One person can live in potions for an hour. One person can live in steel. The matching rule from how to play does not change when the count goes from hundreds to thousands.
What we will not copy from other games
Mall: Tidy Up Together publishes a list of mall stores: supermarket, bookstore, hat shop, and so on. That list is not this game. Librarian-style number order is not this game. Do not sort greatswords by ISBN. Do not wait for a shelf highlight that a different studio named in a different skill tree.
If a future Malum patch names all 14 rows, this page will become a table. Until then, learn families, use how to find items for stragglers, and spend coins so you can carry a whole family at once. The ability planner is the other half of this page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is there an official full category list?
Not on the public store page. Steam says 14. Press and demo text say 12. This page names confirmed families only.
Does the demo include every category?
No. The demo page says three categories in a unique smaller shop.
Are clothes a real sort category?
Launch reviews mention clothes in the pile, and outfits are a listed feature. Treat fabric as its own wing until a patch says otherwise.
Can I use another tidy game's category list?
No. Mall, Megastore, and library tidy games are different products with different rules.
