Tidy Up Together Skill Tier List
A practical ranking of upgrade functions, not a fake 20-skill spreadsheet.
A tier list for Tidy Up Together has to be honest about missing names. Malum Games did not publish a public tree with official titles for every node. Launch players still agree on which functions matter. This page ranks those functions. If your panel uses different words, map the function, not the trademark.
The list assumes a normal cozy or timed clear, not a no-skills dare. For no-skills badges, skip this page and suffer on purpose. For a spend sequence, use upgrade order after you understand the ranks.
S tier — hunt and grab
Highlight for lost or matching products. This is the ability launch reviews describe when they say the game will help you find what you are holding. It is the difference between a clean last ten percent and a bitter wander through Leviathan. If you only buy one “magic” tool, buy the one that points at the problem.
Auto-grab for the match in your hand. Reviewers who liked the game named this as the lazy joy. It feeds a shelf owner in multiplayer and it saves your back in solo. It does not place the item. It collects. That distinction matters because people keep asking for auto-shelf.
A tier — movement taxes
Walk speed. Dragon is a walking tax. Leviathan is a walking tax with worse lighting. Speed does not look magical and it will not make a clip. It will save your evening. Buy it earlier than your pride wants.
Carry capacity. The same sentence as walk speed, except the tax is trips. A larger fistful means fewer crossings. Combined with auto-grab it starts to feel like a real upgrade path. Combined with nothing it is just fewer sad walks.
B tier — comfort and cosmetics of power
Anything that only makes the shop prettier or the character funnier. Outfits are a listed feature and they are not a tidy stat. If a node is clearly cosmetic, ignore it until Skills Maxed is your last badge.
Situational quality-of-life that is not hunt or move. If a node reduces a friction you do not feel yet, wait. The two-percent drip punishes curiosity spends on Dragon.
C tier — the missing fantasy
Auto-shelf / auto-place. This is the tier for a tool players expected and did not get. Rank it C because it is not in the build they described, not because it is weak. If a patch adds it, this row moves. Until then, do not save coins for a ghost.
Copied names from other tidy games. Highlighting Shelf, Auto-Placement, Sandbox Mode, and PvP are other store pages. They are not secret S-tier nodes here.
How to read this list in a shop
If you are in Wyrmling, any S or A spend is fine. If you are entering Dragon, you want at least one S and one A. If you are entering Leviathan with friends, spread S-tier hunt tools across the group so two people are not highlighting the same pineapple. If you are going no-skills, close this page.
Re-rank after a patch. This list is a launch-weekend instrument, not scripture. Pair it with how to find items because a bad hunt pattern wastes even an S-tier highlight.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why are the skill names so generic?
The public store page does not publish a full named tree. We rank functions launch players reported so we do not invent titles.
Is auto-shelf secretly in the game?
Launch reviews that came from other tidy-up games say it is not. If it appears in your panel after a patch, treat that patch as the source.
Should I max one skill or spread points?
Spread into hunt plus movement first. Maxing one novelty node is how Dragon feels stalled. See the upgrade order page.
Does the tier list change in co-op?
The ranks stay. The group should not all buy the same hunt tool first. Cover highlight and grab across players.
