Patch Notes

Tidy Up Together did not sit still after the 14 August 2026 Steam launch. Within three days Malum Games shipped four numbered hotfixes: v1.02, v1.03 (The Coin Fix), v1.04, and v1.05 (The Big Tidy). This page is the wiki’s patch log so launch week can stay a narrative and the rest of the site can link one accurate changelog.

If you only need the buy/skip call, use the review hub. If you are mid-Leviathan and wondering why shelves moved, stay here. The official trailer above is the studio’s short look at the shop loop; long no-commentary play lives on Getting Started.

Why these patches matter to players

Launch buyers hit three practical problems fast: coins that did not stick after a reload, ability prices that felt glacial, and a Leviathan Store where some shelves had been nudged so items could not sit in neat groups. The studio answered in public Steam news, not in silent binaries only. Treat the notes below as the source of truth until a later post replaces them.

Always verify the live Steam news hub if you are reading this weeks later. This wiki paraphrases; it does not replace the developer posts.

v1.02 — 14 August 2026 (launch day)

  • Reduced cooldown timers.
  • Fix for coins not being earned.
  • Fix for not earning the no-abilities-used achievement.

Malum noted that unearned coins should arrive automatically, and that you can load previous save files to pick up the no-skills achievement if it failed to grant. If you cleared Wyrmling or Dragon without upgrades on day one and the badge stayed dark, reload an older save after this patch before you assume the run was invalid. Details for the dare set live on achievements.

v1.03 — The Coin Fix — 15 August 2026

This is the patch most mid-shop players were waiting for. Coins were not updating properly when you reloaded a map. The fix is retroactive: Steam news says your coin count is restored to what it should be based on progress and upgrades already purchased. If your ability planner suddenly looks affordable again, that is intentional.

The same post trimmed ability costs so higher levels arrive sooner. That changes how you read the upgrade order and the skill tier list. Movement and carry still matter first, but the drip is less punishing after v1.03.

A potion shelf that was hard to find in the Leviathan Store was moved to a clearer spot. Saves are not wiped.

v1.04 — 15 August 2026

  • Option to stop carried items bobbing up and down while walking (motion-sickness help).
  • Updated heart particle effect, plus an option to hide particles.
  • Dragon Store Timed achievement raised to 3 hours (was 2 hours at launch).

Read that last line twice. Any guide that still says “Dragon under 2 hours” is stale. The time challenges page and achievements list now use the 3-hour window. Comfort toggles belong on controls next to Camera Comfort.

v1.05 — The Big Tidy — 17 August 2026

The wizard joke continues in the studio voice: shelves in Leviathan had been moved so items could not organise in neat groups. v1.05 puts those shelves back. The same post publishes the official Leviathan group counts players had been guessing at:

GroupCount
Booksx3
Toysx2
Cheesex5
Sushix10
Meatx6
Breadx4
Pastriesx3
Plantsx11
Potionsx7
Crockeryx5
Fruit & Vegx3
Statuesx5
Clothesx5
Weaponsx4

That is fourteen named families — matching the live store-page claim of 14 categories. Use the table on the item categories page and the Leviathan walkthrough when you assign co-op wings. Plants (x11) and sushi (x10) are the volume spikes; toys (x2) and books (x3) are the quick wings.

How to play after the hotfixes

  1. Update through Steam before you start a long Leviathan night.
  2. If coins looked wrong after a reload, launch once on v1.03+ and let the retroactive restore settle, then spend with the upgrade order.
  3. Turn on the carry-bob and particle options if first-person clutter makes you queasy — see controls.
  4. Aim for Dragon’s timed badge under 3 hours, not 2.
  5. On Leviathan, hunt by the group table above, not by memory of pre-v1.05 shelf positions.

What is still not in the notes

No Mac or Linux build. No extra client language. No auto-shelf. No redeem codes. No fourth Adventurer campaign shop. Bundles on the store page (Toys Shop, Tidy Mart, Konbini Cleanup) are other products sold together — see similar games, not DLC for this app.

When v1.06 lands, add it here first, then ripple the affected guides. Until then, this page plus Steam news is enough.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Did Tidy Up Together get post-launch patches?

Yes. Steam news lists v1.02 through v1.05 between 14 and 17 August 2026, covering coins, costs, comfort, Dragon's clock, and Leviathan shelves.

Will v1.03 restore my missing coins?

Steam news says the coin fix is retroactive based on your progress and purchased upgrades. Update, reload, then check the upgrade screen.

Is the Dragon time challenge still 2 hours?

No. v1.04 raised it to 3 hours. Older guides that say 2 hours are outdated.

Where is the official Leviathan category list?

v1.05 publishes fourteen group counts for Leviathan. This page and the item categories guide mirror that table.
